Help with amp please!

So, I just went an bought this Kicker KX600.1 (from circuit city and now that I look around the internet it looks like I went and overpayed quite a bit) and got a new Pioneer Headunit. The thing is that my 2 subs, KFC-W3009 (Kenwood 12" 800-watts in a sealed box) put out barely any bass. Ive got a friend whos car shakes like crazy and mine is nowhere near that. Id ask him about it, but I havent talked to him in months. Should I get an amp like the Kicker KX1200.1 or a completely different type or get some better subs? I realize they arent that great. Or is it that my settings are messed up? My gain is at alittle more than 3/4s, the freq setting is like at 75hz. I used some Wal-Mart off brand wiring, the biggest they had. I can still take back the amp so thats not a problem. Please help me! Oh yea, I had this Audiobahn A8000T before and for some reason it seemed to be putting out a bit more, I dunno...

that amp puts out nice power, i'd say say output is eclosure/sub related.....Kenwood not necessarily known for their subs if you kinow what I mean.....

I would blame it on the box. When you crank the volume, do the subs move a lot, or not?

Yea, I got those subs pretty cheap, should have figured they wouldnt be anything like my friends Eclipses. Thanks for telling me though! And would a KX1200.1 put out much better? I have little idea on how ohms and channels work. But I saw that both the KX1200 and KX600 put out like the exact same watts @ 2 and 4 ohms, but the 600 isnt stable @ 1 ohm while the 1200 is. Just wondering if itd be worth getting it with some better subs. And one more question, what kind of subs/enclosure-type would you recommend?

Yea, when I put it up high they do move some. I screwed those things in there pretty hard...

well it depends on your budget. That Kicker 600.1 will put out quite a bit of power. Personally, I would just keep it rather than get the 1200.1 but that depends on your application. If your keeping the Kenwoods the 600.1 will be perfect, if not too much.

Thank you very much! Maybe just get a bandpass type box to replace the one Ive got now and It should hopefully be better
