Help with amp! im new to this stuff...

arrite.. i got 2 jl w3v2 d4 subs.. so theyre dual 4 ohms.. so what ohm load will it put out? my friend said it would be 1 ohm.. so i was looking into the orion 600d.. the subs are 300rms each.. thanks!

also, can anyone recommend any amps that will work well with these subs? around 250 and under? thanks

a 600D would be fine with that and yes it would return a 1 ohm load if wired in parrallel

Just for future reference you can run them at 4ohms as well. to get the wattage you need at 4ohms will cost you more money though. I would say orion is a good choice. Well made reliable amps.

should i get the viper d600.1 or the orion 600d? i heard they are pretty much the same, except for the price. on ebay, the orion is about $235 but on ikesound.com, the viper amp is only about 120... what would be the best thing to do?

see if you can't find a refurbished Orion. They'd be much cheaper and seem to be overall better quality than the vipers.

However, the Viper would be an excellent choice as well. I run the Viper 1200.1 and am happy with it.

I would get the orion. Great amps! But if you can get the viper that cheap then would go that route. Just be patient with ikesounds customer service.
