help with amp and sub install

New to site! I have an 05 Magnum RT and im wanting to install alil set up i have.... 1 12" MTX sub with a MTX thunder 311d amp not much. Ive seen u can splice into one of the rear factory speakers and run that to ur amp??Im not really big on audio so im not really experienced in this set up im more into my engine but im wanting some sound to go along with it! Can anybody give me step by step on the install and wiring and what i will need? im also keeping my stock dash/navigation radio....

are you talking about splicing the rca's into the speaker wire so you dont need an aftermarket HU im confused
