Help with alt+ to batt+ (pics)

My Nissan was like that.... luckily I have a hoist //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/cool.gif.3bcaf8f141236c00f8044d07150e34f7.gif I ran it back towards the firewall, up over the top of the motor and up my fender to the battery. I don't like using runs that long but I'm sure it was better than the 8 or 10 gauge stock one

yeah, because the stock is 10-12ga at best and it has to go that same distance

lift the front end of the car, remove the passanger side tire and splash guard. you should have complete access to the alt from there. if you can't then you shouldn't be working on cars.

Exactly.....This is what I had to do with my Saturn also. Once the tire and splash guard are removed, you should have all kinds of room to work with.

Is it worth the trouble? Or should I wait till I'm gonna put in a HO if I ever do, cuz the stock one is only 60 amps I believe

just wait till you get your HO alt and do it all at once. Don't bump too hard and stress out your stock alt until you put in the new one. You don't wanna drive around with a dry belt:furious:

jack up the car

or if you dont have a jack drive up a curb on the alts side and youll have enough room.. just make sure the gutter is dry haha

.. works good enough to chang oil.. should work good enough to change a wire..
