Help with alt+ to batt+ (pics)

I can't figure out how the hell to go about running a wire from my alt to my battery...my alt is conveniently hidden under the engine and on the opposite side from the battery, and I can't even see much of it, let alone access it. How should I go about doing this?

you're going to have to probably jack the front end up. When running the wire be very careful not to run it closer than 2" from a heat source on your engine and cover the wire in a plastic loom to help resist heat.

may just have to drop the alt out, hook it up, then put it back in--
freakin imports
I don't even know how to get the alt out, I can barely get to that single bolt you see in the pics on it, and it doesn't want to turn at all (given I have almost no leverage because of where its at)

Not all imports are bad. My toyota corolla's alt is in a wonderful, easily accessible location //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif I had to borrow a transmission torque socket wrench from Auto Zone to get my 1 year old alternator bolt off. Apparently they torque the hell out of them.

Any other way I could get to it? like is that intake easily removeable would you think? Or is trying to get the alt out the easiest way? It should also be noted that its not a straight shot from the alt to the floor, there is more car body between them, not sure how much/etc

and is it even worth it to go through all this trouble without even replacing the alt with a HO? its only 60 amps i believe

yeah the older imoorts are ok but newer. omfg i can slip paper inside some of the cars. and i hate cars that are hard to get parts out of. gl to OP its going to be fun!

use a torch and cut a hole in the passenger floor....then you can hook it up with no problems...

or just do what has been suggested and jack up the damn car

lift the front end of the car, remove the passanger side tire and splash guard. you should have complete access to the alt from there. if you can't then you shouldn't be working on cars.

I think the fact that it is a 60 amp alt is all the more reason why you need to do the big three - to squeeze as much amperage out of it that you can so you may not have to buy an HO alt.
