My son has a 2017 civic ex sedan. I'd like to get him a powered sub. Most likely the RF P300-10 although I am open to other suggestions.

Any chance anyone here has done something like this? I have installed some car audio stuff before but I am no means an expert so I could use any and all help.

Exactly what speaker wires would I need to tap into? I've heard some say the front factory wires and some say the rear????
Any chance someone has a wiring diagram so I know what colors to do?
If I do need to go behind the factory head unit is it pretty easy to access?

Again, any other thoughts or insight would be greatly appreciated.

Depending on where you are placing the amplifier. If it will be in the trunk, I would use a rear speaker since it should be easier to access.

Left rear
+ Blue
- White

Right rear
+Yellow
- Brown

If these colors are not there. STOP!!! get a wiring diagram before proceeding.
