Help with active settings??

I got my first active capable amp the other day and I'm really confused on some of the settings. Its a b2 Quattro amp and I don know what the TLA setting does or what the range switch with the x1 and x20 option do. If anybody can help me out with these settings I would really appreciate it. Thanks guys!

That TLA thing looks like you can affect amplitude at the high pass crossover point. The range switch is a multiplier of your high pass filter so that you can cross over something like a tweeter that needs to be crossed over much higher than a mid. Take the number range that are written above the filter and multiply them by 20 if the switch is set accordingly

The range switch is used for setting the HPF, if the switch is set to "x1" the HPF can be set from 50-250hz, when it it set to "x20" the HPF can be set from 1000-5000hz. The TLA is a level adjustment that only affects the frequencies above the HPF setting. Say you have a pair of tweeters connected to channels 1&2 with the HPF set at 4khz, but they are too loud you can lower the TLA to level match your system without resetting the gain or affecting the speakers connected to channels 3&4.

Awesome! Thanks man now I understand the tla fully! Maybe you can adress my other question I'm the above post also?

You should probably start with the CH 1&2 switch on "TLA/HPF", range at "x20", TLA at "-12", and the HPF at 2500hz or higher. The manual kind of ***** for this part, it doesn't say if the amp will bandpass but try this. Set CH 3&4 to "CH1/2 LPF" and set the HPF to 60-80hz ignore the Bass Boost and LPF. You will only need to set the gain on CH 1&2, after the gain is set you can increase the TLA until the tweeter level matches the mids.
