New here guys. I am having trouble understanding how to get my measurments to build a slot ported box for my L5 Solobaric. Ironic as it is, I was excellent in Math in school lol, but this has thrown me for a loop. I am driving a Chrysler 300M. I was thinking about a 3.25 cu box with a slot port, if that sounds right, or ANY SUGGESTIONS. I have access to everything I need to build it.....(my dad has a wood shop) but he works 2 jobs and cant help me. I basically need the measurements to cut this thing out.

I would also like someone to explain all this to me. I dont just want free help, I want to understand the whole concept of why Im building the box this way, if you know what I mean. I have tried to use the box calculators and just dont understand them at all. Im used to the days where I was a kid and just threw any sub(s) in any box lol.

Thanks in advance for the help, I just want whats going to make this sub perform at its best box wise.

Just built mine was more work than I expected but Ill find out this weekend if it was all worth it. The top is my new one. Heres a few more pics of my box build if your interested. Its 3.253cf w/ sub @ 38hz, so add .19cf{my sub's displacement}and subtract your diplacement.
