help with 98 grand prix HU install

Im putting an aftermarket headunit in one of my friends cars tomorrow and I want to make sure I know what to get. The CD player is a BOSS (i know i know) brand deck and the 98 grand prix has the factory tape deck still in. How do i remove the factory deck? and am i going to need a mounting kit?
