Help with 2001 lexus gs430 install

Hey CA I'm doing an install on my 1st lexus. There's a stock amp and the brain is in the trunk. Do I need to do anything special to install an new amp to the stock speakers... this guy has tried this install but he has no volume control now.... any help would be appreciated... thanx

locating the amp is half the battle...since you know where it is you can simply determine which wires are the speaker wires via a tone generator or 9v batt and simply cut them. Use the side coming out of the factory amplifier for your amplifier input via LOC or hi level input and the opposite side should be your amplifiers output to the speakers. You can probably also find and ACC source back there as well to use as your remote for the amp to save you from having to run more wire.
