Help with 15

Ok so I have been reading around here and it seems alot of you do not like brands i have grown to love. For example you all seem to be in lanzar and more brand like that which to me where just cheaper options of less quality. But thats why i am here to learn.

I have a jbl bpx 500.1 amp it was powering my type r alpine 15 till the sub reacently kicked the bucket. so now i am looking to replace it. My thoughts from looking around seemed to be set on the audiobahn aw1506t. I mean you can diss the sub if you want but dont be biased and be open minded the sub will be in a slot ported box in my z24 cavalier and i am looking to spend under 200 and this seemed my best best. can somone give some honest insight without flaming.

Try a Kicker Comp VR.

Or even a kicker comp. You can get buy one get 1 free.

They you can run 250rms to each and call it a day.

Kicker comp ?kicker comp vr? Is this a biased anwser because if use both of those subs before and they blow they actually **** in every aspect. I am not a fan of kicker theyare way over rated. my Type R hit both louder and clearer then t solar baric kicker 12's. I cannot be talked in to buying kicker nor something 250 watts rms. Step it up a bit please as those subs could not compare to what i was replacing.

Shit I dunno, not really a good 15" @ 200$ to run 500wrms. Save some money up and buy a RL-P or a 05' Alpine Type-R or even a 15"SX.

All depends on what you want. SQ SQL or SPL?

Also, your not gonna be happy with that Audiobahn, I can tell you that right now.

the type r 15 is under 200 bucks. and i dunno what the hype is about the new 05 type rs i actually prefered the older ones better surrounds. i figured the flam q would be an upgrade

im now seeing the new type r is stronger then the old bumping from 500 rms to 750, practicle perfect for my amp maybe ill just stick with that

The old type r's surround is nice, but they come unglued to the cone. They new type rs sourround is better for power handling.

Go with the new r. They hit good numbers, really indestructable hence the amp your running. And will put a smile on your face.

new type r for sure. and just because the new surround is not round, and it has the W shape to it, does not mean its worse.

but i would scrounge up another $75 anb buy an RL-P15 - http://www.soundsplinter.com - higher quality, better sound, but you gotta make sure you amp is 2ohm stable (dvc4 sub)

theres my 2 cents. i would NEVER run any audiobahn ever again in my life - every product ive owned from them has blown up under regular usage. thats not biased my friend, thats bullshit.
