Help wiring my LOC

I have finally got all the components I need for my install, and I have a few questions regarding the installation of the LOC.

I am using a David navone 2 channel LOC, to run rcas to my mono amp. I am planning on wiring the LOC to the left rear speaker in my accord.

1) Do I need to run the LOC to both speakers, getting the R +/- and the L +/- connections?

2) How can i tell which wire is +/- from the stock speaker wiring?

3) Do I need to run a remote wire to the LOC as well as the amp? I have wired a remote turn on via the lighter accessory to my amp.

4) Is the ground necessary for the LOC?

5) Where do people usually connect the +12V power line to?

1) If the amp has 2 inputs (internally summed) then it's best to use both LOC channels. Some will argue though that sub bass is never on only one channel, but it depends on the recording.

2) Wiring diagram for the car... or look at the speakers themselves, + is usually marked.

3) No remote is needed. The LOC senses when the HU is on and has a remote output you can use for the amp.

4) Yes.

5) Preferably switched power from ignition but constant power is OK since it draws very little current.

Thank you very much for the informative reply. So I can just run a small gauge of wire from my LOC remote to the amp remote in, and it should power them both on?

The LOC gets power from a 12V source that you must provide. That's why I suggested using a switched source off your ignition so it's off when the car is off. It senses the DC offset in the speaker lines when the HU is on and provides a remote output for the amp.
