HELP: What happened..?

So, last weekend, i took my subs out of my car so i could fit somethng in it, but while i was loading, something hit the power cable and pulled it right out of the terminal and it landed right on the excess of the ground cable for about 2-3 seconds...

i know i know.. lazy wiring..

but, it started sizzling and i pulled it off..

i put everything back.. and my amp doesnt turn on any more...

.. please help!

You think you maybe blew the fuse? That is why they are there...to keep this from happening.

Check the fuse and replace it. If that doesn't do it, replace the wire.

oh yeah, i checked all 3 fuses.. looked fine..?

how do you tell between a blown fuse and a normal fuse?

ill try replacing it

i have a friend that did the same thing and it melted things inside the amp i think but i know it was inside the amp thats why always unhook power if moving the amp or whatever

take the cover off the amp and post pictures of it

Do you have a multimeter? Check the voltage on the power wire. And the remote.

do you have a fuse on the power wire comming the battery

With a multi-meter check continuity on your fuses. Sometimes they appear to be good but really aren't. If they didn't blow then the fuse could be too big and didn't do what it was supposed to do and now you have a fried amp.
