HELP! What happened?!

I have a 96 Grand Marquis. Tonight I added a 2nd battery and decided to amp my doors. well in the process, the speakers sounded like they blew, but this is not the case. with the amp on and off them, i have no control of them with the HU, and they juss distory very badly with almost no music. what is going on!?

you may have possibly wired the batt's for to high a voltage? Im not very sure but it could be possible. Try turning your gains on your amp down all the way and easing them back up till they sound right

Get a voltmeter and check your voltage at the amp.

Well...I fried my HU's speaker outputs appearently..you live and learn.

Wait...I hooked the 2nd battery up with my previous power wire for my amp, grounded it. Then ran a power wire off the 2nd battery, to my amp. Is that wrong?
