Help! Want to put in new system.

I have a 2007 Toyota Rav4 with the JBL system. I want to change everything, but don't know what to get.

I was thinking:

Alpine CDA-9856 - already have

Boston pro60's in front

Polk MOMO MMC6500 in the rear

Amplifier and Sub - I don't have a clue what to get.

The sub on the factory system is located in the back door and is 8".

Need suggestions:

1) what amp is needed to power system?

2) what sub to get under $150?

3) do I need to rewire the whole car or just clip the wires and harness going to the factory amp?

Want to spend under $1000 and plan to get most of the stuff from ebay. Would like to do the install myself to save money, but not sure how hard this will be with the amp and sub. I have put dynamat in all doors and floor of vehicle, so I do know how to strip down the car and get to the wires.

I have replaced speakers in my previous vehicle without difficulty, but not too sure about the sub or hooking up the amp.

look at soundsplinter subs

i would say Alpine type R for the sub.. can be had very cheap on ebay and are probly the best for the money... or fish around on the classifieds on here and see what pops up there... as for amp decide what sub you want first

the factory amp wont do it.. you will have to rewire for the new stuff

Alpine for sub is out. They only come in 10-15 inch.

Any other suggestions on who makes a decent sub?

TC sounds makes a lot of good 8" subs look for one on here. I also heard DD makes some good ones also.

Okay I have tentatively decided on a sub.

Here is what I'm thinking about:

HU- Alpine CDA-9856 (already have)

Front- Boston Pro60's components

Rear- Polk MOMO MMC6500

Sub- Soundslinter RL-i8

Amp- Don't have a clue what to get

Need help on the amp. I have no idea on how much power I will need to power everything.

good choice on the Rl-i 8. thats what i would have suggested.
