Ok, total Newbie question here but how do I go about selecting a head unit or any system for that matter that works w/the dash in my 03 Taurus SE??

It's all ya know stock intergrated...Pics? Links? I know someone has done this w/their Taurus. Thanks.

What you need is something like this. Car Installation Kit. I am sure you may be able to find it somewhere cheaper locally but look around. This will let you take all of the radio you have now and the AC controls and then you can put in right back into this thing. That installation kit will allow you to use 1 DIN after-market cd players. Most that you find are 1 DIN unless they say something different. Let mw know if you need any more help.

1 Din is 2" tall. 1.5 DIN is 3" Tall. 2 DIN is for 4" tall stereos. Most aftermarket are 1 DIN because that is the most common to have in a car. Also even if your car has a larger than 1 DIN stereo to begin with the installation kit that you buy for the specific vehicle usually will have a slot for a 1 DIN aftermarket CD player. You can see this here. That is my Honda Civic. The stock stereo was 2 DIN so I bought the installation kit and it made the 2 DIN hole 1 Din for the aftermarket stereo, and with the rest it made use of the space with a storage space which i use for CD's. I hope all that makes sense let me know if it doesent I will try and clear it up.
