a few days ago i pulled my system out to carpet my box. well got it all done and now i've put it back in and it's not working!! nothing is different besides the fact that i've ran 8g from the amp to subs and put capet on the box. but now i don't have bass from this amp. the subs are 2 12" l7's d2's. wired to 2 ohms. i've checked my grounds over and over and check all the other connections over and over as well. but for the life of me i can't figure this out. i opend up the amp to take a look and can't see any damage. any idea's?

also yes the rca's are connected as well.

and also i forgot to say when the amp very first comes on the red protect like shows first for about a second then the green power light comes on but still no music or bass.

there has to be something going on here

Did you unhook your fuse while connecting and disconnecting the power wire? all it takes is a split sec touch of the screwdriver to the case to fry an amp.....while disconnecting or reconnecting the power wire
both batts were unhooked

//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif i have no clue. Good luck.
thanks but i don't think luck is going to help this. i've tried everything and i mean everything i can think of and i can't get anything out of it. i've done everthing i should when taking it out and putting it back in. but i'm worried it's done for //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crying.gif.ec0ebefe590df0251476573bc49e46d8.gif

Perhaps open it up to see if anything looks burnt inside?

Or maybe get somebody else who knows how to install go over all your connections? Maybe you made a stupid mistake that you keep missing, it happens to the best of us.

i went over thing over and over again to try and figure out what i did wrong. i've done this so many times and never had any problems. i just can't figure out what it could have been. and i did open it up and it seems fine for the most part but there is one spot that looks as if it could be a little burnt but this is the first time i've had it open sense i've owned it so i don't know if it looked that way before

Damm man that *****. Hope you figure out what the problem is. Maybe you should take your amp to a shop and have them test it. Then you will know whether its your amp or some of your wiring. Relax man it might be something small. If it is your amp it probably wont be too expensive to fix.

You said you changed the wiring from the subs to the amp, I would check over those wires again, How did you wire them, did you hook up both voice coils correctly, tell exactly how you wired it
that was the last thing i need to check. but i'm still reading two ohms at the amp so i'm guessing they are still hooked up right.

i have possitive coil one to neg coil two on both subs hooked up then since the amp has two possitive and two neg ouputs i wired one possitive and one neg to one sub and they are connected at the amp so it wires it to 2 ohms.

i hope i explained that right

does anyone know what it could mean and why the protect like comes on first for half a second then the green like comes on like everything is fine??

omg this make no sense what so ever!!!! i had checked everything fliped every switch each way play with all my filters and gain and everything and nothing was working at all. so i opened it up again and had my dad look at it cuz he has a degree in eletronics just to get his opinion on one spot that looks as if it could be fried. well we tested it and it wasn't fried. so i put it back together and put it in the car again for the 5th time or so. hook everything back up and still nothing plays so i just start playing with all the filters and gain and all that stuff again for the 3rd time and when i flip the sub filter on the amp to off it start playing!!!! i had flipped that 2 other times already and nothing had happed!! i don't get it. but now what i flip it on or off the subs still work fine no problem what so ever.
