help troubleshooting my system

i checked around for it, only other switch i could find was a mono/stereo switch and i switched it over to stereo. i was able to get readings last night (i gueess rca need to be plugged into the amp lol) but i was only able to get a maximum voltage of about 8.3 from both channels

I'm a little leary about that amp then. I've tried to download the manual several times with no luck. Those gains should in no way should be maxed out. I think you should try to get a cd with test tone and set it that way. So what still isn't working correctly at this point?

well when i plug the front rcas from headunit into channel 1&2 on amp i get sound from all the speakers, nothing changes after i plug in the other ones into 3&4 (that i can notice) but if i plug in rcas to just 3&4 i dont get sound. So i plugged in all of them last night, disconnected the positive speaker wire, and ran a 1khz test tone from my phone while testing voltage at the connection. it maxed out at 8.3 on all channels

Ok. The switch next to the stereo/mono that's marked local/remote should be on remote, according to the manual. What is it set at?

Get a cd with test tones. I don't think you have the correct level running it through your phone via aux.

Unless you really want to have fader control, you can leave it the way it is....except the gains need to be set correctly still. I've gone over that manual (some of it is so light I can't even see what it says) and it's pissing me off to no end. Try switching to local then :/Anyone else want to weigh in here?

so i still cannot figure this out, got my amp repaired and now have all channels working but i still cannot get the gain above 8.4 volts
