(HELP) the orion hcca sounding weird?

my friend just hooked up his orion hcca the 07 model in a 1.3 cube box sealed its running of a kicker kx1200.1 amp and its not getting loud for some reason it sounds like the pair of cvrs he had any one knows why??? i watched videos of 2 12s flexing the crap out of cars with the same subs.

Might wanna try doubling that power. KX2500.1, then it'll be loud.

its probably your box...i have heard those things POUND!!! off of 1000 watts.

you need 2-3x the power to get them loud in a sealed box. THose vid on youtube are running at least 2.5 k per woofer.

Bigger box to increase efficiency, or go ported.

its always the box. Install is 90% of the equation.

there's nothing wrong with building a box out of birch.

We could be jumpin to conclusions. First, check all of your connections/gains/ HU settings, things like that first. If everything is fine then:

Triple your box volume - ported, atleast.

Double your power too if you need louder.

The new HCCA's lend themselves to sealed (go figure).

yea i told him he needed a bigger box. ive heard a guy with a 15inch it sounds retared loud.

yea the amp is fine. thats why im going to put mines in a 3 cube ported box.
