help setting gain

ok so i **** at math, so i got someone to do t he square root of 1500 for me and they got 38.7, but even with my gain all the way down i read no less than 47, so wtf and anything from like 50%+ didnt read more than 58.

amp - re 35.1d

HU - panasonic 5410, says 5v preouts, but i tested the RCAs and they read 2v

are you sure the gain wasn't all the way up instead of down? on the gain when you turn it to the lower numbers that actually turns it up.

Use a 50hz tone. When I was setting my g/f's gain I read the output voltage from 20-50Hz. Anything below 50 was putting out a lot of power.

well i got my lpf at 50hz...maybe it was cuz my setup peaks at around 42-43hz, ill try some diff freqs today, but 40hz seemd like a freq to use, i saw 60hz somewhere was is hella high to me
