Help! Seriously!

I have 2 12's and one of my subs is hittin perfectly and the other is HUMMING and not nearly moiving as well as the other sub. Any suggestions??? the only thing i can think of is its my RCA wires but i checked them and they are fine. Sooo that my delima and its got me worried.

Seriously, if they're both connected to the same amp, one is toast.

well dont laugh at this because im obvioulsy not an audio tech...thats why im apparently confused...but why would one blow and the other not?

If they are both getting the same signal for the same amp I would bet the sub has had it. Rarely you would blow both at the same time. Does it smell? Is the cone stiff? When it's powered up does it move at all? Try playing just the one and see what it does.

yea the amp might be toast too. I have had problems where it sounds like 1 sub is smacking against itself and they are both wired to the same amp. I changed out amps and its all good. Pull the sub out, make sure its wired correctly, then switch the subs positions in the box. If the same sub is still doing it, its your sub.

No it has no oder...and no its not stiff at all...

The sub is moivin but not as hard as the other...my box has two port chambers and i stuck my hand in each one... one is generating air flow and the other isnt so im assuming ive burnt the voice coil... sound about right?

its possible yes. But check ur wiring as well. Have u had this setup for long working good?

ive had this setup for over a year...thats why i dont think its the wires...im sure its blown....

well ive solved my problem...it was one of the amps...soo ive sent it back to JL and they will cover it under warrenty
