Help selecting a sub 150 watt RMS

That amp is probably doing 15-20WRMS X 4 and 50-75wrmsX1 at 4 ohm. I've taken apart legacy amps (same quality) rated like that and their insides consisted of a small capacitor and something that looks like a logic chip. =\
That said, Mach 5s are quite impressive for their price. Also Dayton Shielded woofers from parts express showed some real potential in low power situations.
wow are you serious... I mean how is that possible to go from 80 listed rms to 20 actual rms.. at that point going right off the head unit would be better. Alpine R components list 60rms so that kinda kills my whole set up //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/uhoh.gif.c07307dd22ee7e63e22fc8e9c614d1fd.gif . Now im bummed. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif . I don't have the kind of funds to shell out 400 dollars for an amp.

You don't need to. Even 20 watts is an extra 5 or so up from a HU, which relates to 20% higher quality of sound and output. I say that because there is no car audio speaker that'll hit power compression or enough throw to break up off either rating IMO.

A good install can get loud enough to force an average listener out of the vehicle off right around 30 watts, or so I'm told. So, it's a cheap amp and doesn't do rated power - doesn't make any difference, just a little less headroom. You can counter that easy enough.
