Help selecting a sub 150 watt RMS

Hey there, the 5th channel on my sub runs 150watt RMS @ 4 ohms. The amp is 2 ohm stable so im sure it can push 200-225 RMS @ 2ohms but its just not listed on the amp. Anyways, I am looking for a sub that has a good clean punch. Not really looking for the real low tone but more of the hit. It is going into a trunk of a Lincoln Mark VIII so I have plenty of mounting space. There are so many subs out there I am getting a headache trying to match one up to my power. Any help would be great.

Never heard of mach5 audio either. I am looking for 10" SQ sub and Ascendant Audio is out of stock on their 10" Assassin. Any info on how the mach5 10" performs (will be pushing 200W RMS)?

IMO the kicker comp is total crap. the CVR will get pretty loud, but doesn't sound that great. i haven't heard the CVX but it did fairly well in the 12's test.

also in the 12's test, the mach 5 sub proved that it was just all out louder than the assassin with similar power.

overall loyd seemed more impressed with the mach 5 than the assassin.

also be aware the mach 5 will be pretty costly to ship (from canada) and will end up costing about as much as the assassin.

I doubt that amp would put out an actual 150 watts, it's a cheap Boss amp (no offense) so I'd say the actual output (with low distortion) would be around 100 watts.

That amp is probably doing 15-20WRMS X 4 and 50-75wrmsX1 at 4 ohm. I've taken apart legacy amps (same quality) rated like that and their insides consisted of a small capacitor and something that looks like a logic chip. =\

That said, Mach 5s are quite impressive for their price. Also Dayton Shielded woofers from parts express showed some real potential in low power situations.
