Help removing shoulder harness bolt

'98 Pontiac. Shoulder harness belt is held with a large GM bolt (maybe brass), round head maybe 1/2" shaft and head has a special pattern like 7-8 spokes (looks like a star). Not an allen wrench head. Tried to turn this bolt with pliers, definitely won't budge. Do I need a special GM tool? Any suggestions? I need to remove the backseat plastic side panel and this bolt is in the way!

they should have that socket you need an an auto parts store. or even the dealership.

It's just a regular torx bit probably. Any place that sells tools should have them.

Yeah, most modern seat belts are held in with torx bolts. That being said, they are very common, so your local auto parts stores should have them (if they sell tools). Some stores will rent out tools... I'd check on that unless you plan on having to do this often.

its prolly a i think 45 or 53 torx. i think thats the right sizing. its been a while for me since ive looked or had to use one but thats what mine was and its a gm car so should be the same.

i dont think they make a 53 they go by 5's :45,50,55

i always said that if u have to borrow the tool more than twice.... u need to get one ureself.
