ha ha, you made the same mistake I made. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif

lol it's 1 in the am i have an excuse, spent the whole day at the chicago car show

i would check your subs out, to see if he blew them.... or f'd them up during installation

The subs are working, they just dont sound good yet, and the amp and deck wont turn off... he has my amps power wire running to my fuse box?!?! wtf? shouldent it run to the positive end of my battery?... and i know the remote turn off shit is all jacked up... idk what to do to it tho, im takeing it back in the morning, but he installs like a 9 year old... if u could explain what my turn on wire is suposta be hooked up to that would be great, and if i should run my power wire to my positive battery terminal instead of my fuse box.

****, what kind of installer takes those kind of shortcuts!? Yes, your power wire should run directly from the positive on your battery to the amp or distribution block(for more than 2 amp)with a inline fuse less than 18 inches from the battery.

The remote turnon wire should be wired from the back of your HU. There is a wire specifically for that, I think its blue.

Make sure your grounds are good too, seeing as how the rest of the install is bad. make sure they are as short as possible and attatched to bare metal with any paint stripped away.

EDIT; With that much power, I'd say go with atleast 4gauge wire, I'd recommend atleast 2gauge though.

okay got everything fixed, sept my remote turn on... and i know why, theres a long red wire, and a lil yellow one that looks like it has a fuse that came with my alpine deck and they told me to run that to my fuses or something like that... the guy never used it... So where dose and how dose these wires go in my **** car? heres some pics of them...

um shouldnt that yellow one be on your h/u? But that can run to fuse or right into wire harness for constant power. The red one would be a acces and there should be a blue one or blue with white line that is your remote. So is your deck working fine as of now. Just your amp wont turn on because you need the remote hooked up? Man I would be pissed at that guy.
