Ok, i just got in a Hifonics BXi1606 (rated 1600w rms), and ill also be adding another amp that will be pushing about 300ish watts. i have all stock wiring/batt/alt, from reading on here its obvious to me to do the big 3, but im not sure if i would need to get 1 or more deep cycle batteries, also not sure about an alt, or any combination of the 2. Not attempting to have a show car, just a daily driver. Please help! lol im very inexperienced with all this and id like to make sure i get it right :p thanks very much!

Depends on the size of your stock alt whether or not you should upgrade.

Running almost 2kw, a rear battery wouldn't hurt by any means. If you go this route 1/0 power/ground front to rear is the way to go (With two fuses on the + side, one at each battery)

Big 3 should be done asap.

yea i was plannin to do big 3 before installing, i guess ill check and see what the stock alt is for a 2000 v6 mustang. do i need to buy a new battery for my car and also another ya think, or do you think id be ok just buying 1 deep cycle for the amp to run off of? thanks for replying

ok, battery is just your basic battery, i havent had it too long tho, says 540 amps at 32 degrees F, duno if thats relevant at all, checking on alt
