if i hook up a nice amp like memphis with a regular after market head unit like one of the pyle's double din one

will it effect my sound quality even though my speakers are connected with a good memphis amp only the stereo is not that great ?

do i need a good quality headunit aswell or if the speakers ae connected to amp head unit has nothing to do with sound amp does ?

Some may argue the point but I personally think the HU makes a big diff. I went from a lower line Pioneer HU to a Clarion and the difference was amazing.

HU will def have an effect on your systems SQ if I were you I would look around ebay for an older model Alpine like the CDA-9815 etc. which you could probably pick up for about the same price as that Pyle of garbage. The older model Alpines were some of the best units that they ever made if you do take my advice and pick one up you will not be dissapointed.
