Help please!

Not saying its the worst. What I'm saying maybe try to steer him to a better longer lasting system rather than trying to talk him into something that won't be a reliable system that won't last. I'm sure as most people would he may want to look at better equipment or used stuff to get that will be more reliable and last rather than something that would go up in smoke relatively quick as audiopipe amps have in the past.

Yeah man..

Amps, look into a used sundown, audioque, dc 1200 watt amp,

For wire look into knukonceptz, shok, audio technix,

For subs, I'd reccomend 600 watt rms series, obsidian, sundown, ssa dcon, incriminator lethal injection.

You might want to get a car before you start buying car audio equipment. Once you get your car I recommend upgrading your battery first of all to the biggest size that will fit under your hood, most likely group 35 or 34. Then upgrade your HU/Interior speakers which will cost you 150-200$ probably. Next you will want to buy around 20-30 feet of 0 gauge wiring and some ring terminals, do the Big 3 upgrade. Then you will probably be good for around 1500-2000 watts of power, if you want to run 5,000 watts you will need to upgrade to a high output alternator plus a couple batteries (Pretty much repeating what has already been said haha)

Upgrading your electrical before you stick a 1500 watt amplifier in your trunk will save you lots of headaches (speaking from experience)
