not exactly sure what the problem is but since it happened after trying to wire a new amplifier into my car i guess this would be the place to post this
i tried adding a 2nd amplifier to my car by just tapping into all the existing wires(ground power and remote turn on) then splitting them to each amp after i had all that done i was having problems getting some of the channels to work on the 2nd amp and i figured since i wasn't messing with the ground or power why disconnect my ground from my battery, well when i was trying to make sure all the speaker wires were in there terminals correctly my allen key touched the side of the amp while touching the allen screw and the whole system shorted out. now when my input sensitivity(is the I.S. the same as gain?) is up too high the speakers go like flat and stop making sound but still move(is this what people refer to as clipping?) previously i could turn my input sensitivity up all the way no problems and the speakers would keep getting louder and like they were hungry for more, is it possible i did damage to my amp or speakers if so would there be a way to fix it?
i'm new to car audio, and please anybody that has anything to say it would be very much appreciated, thank you
