Help please!

Ok I don't really know where to start. But I did a big 3 on my truck and it done fine for about two weeks, with no amp hooked up. Then I hooked my amp up and it did good for about 30 mins. And now my voltage meter (stock one in the dash) raises when I am slamming it really hard and when it gets up so high my amp cuts off. And it keeps blowing fuses. Any idea what it is?

Volts go up? Or do you mean the voltage drops when you play it hard? Never heard of voltage going up.

ya i think you mean down bro and it could be you need a cap i would go with 5 farit or higher

Literally none of these things are true.

Explain what formula or theory you used to determine that a short could raise the system voltage. Next, the term is "farad".

TO OP: The only possibility I can think of is a bad regulator in your alternator.

Only thing I can think of, but I'm not sure. Definitely curious as to what the problem is.

No! It fuc*ing goes up! I am not stupid. This is why I said I needed help. I have never had this happen.

Take it to your local parts store, Oriellys, Advance, Autozone, and ask them to check the alternator. It's free.

This is what I am thinking. Because it did fine with the last amp I had. But nothing else has changed. And I checked all of my connections. And my wires have only been ran for a week but I will check them.

I thought this too, but when everything is off, I does fine and says at 14.4 volts.

well crack my amp did the same thing i bought new wires and a cap and works just finr now and a short will do alot of crazy things
