Ok I just got all my stuff hooked up but the subs arnt hitting hard at all. I have a 700 watt mono amp hooked up to 2 Jbl 12" subs. Is it not hitting cause my ground is not that good cause it has paint on the metal? Or is my speaker wire not hooked in good? There 4 ohms so both subs hit when connected to the + and -. But they should be hitting like a mother ****er and they arnt hitting that hard.

Ok there hitting now, I just sanded the spot where the ground wire was and adjusted the bass and put it on max and change some stuff.

You seriously might want to get a second opinion on all your wiring and everything. It's better to be safe than sorry. Most shops will at least look at your install for you.

The amp can blow the subs cause it doesnt have enough power to blow them. I have the gain all the way up.

Then what do I do, I turned the Gain and Lp Filter down to normal and the Bass EQ all the way up? How am I expose to set up the amp?

im not sure how your "exposed" to set up the amp, but i do know how your supposed to set up your amp. First of all, you need to learn the basics first. Your amplifier puts out 350 watts, not 700 watts. This could be a reason for them not being as loud as you expected. Also, you dont want your gains set to Max and you dont want your bass boost up all the way and all the bass turned up on your head unit. if i were you, i would simply bring it to somebody who has a lot of experience and knows a lot about car audio. that way they can set up your amp the way it is "exposed" to be.

Ok basics (I'm not being a jerk I just think these are things you need to know) first off you can setup your system correctly but adjust the settings completely wrong. I think this is what you are doing here. Turning your amps gains all the way up is dangerous to your amp and also makes your speakers sound pretty crappy. You would be surprised to learn that less on the gain (ie. maybe 1/2 to 3/4 gain) will sound better and can be louder then full blast. The amp does not run at its best at that level (full gain). Its like having a car that "can" go 160 mph and running it at that speed every day. Something is going to go wrong. I won't try to go into explaining a clipped signal but if you are clipping then you can damage if not blow your subs.

Like said above your best bet is to have your system checked out (wiring and such) let the shop tune your system for you. They will make it bounce. If you don't like the power you are getting you may want to add a second amp.

One of the things I noticed that may be confusing you is peak power to RMS power. Although your amp runs 700 peak that just means when all conditions are right (good voltage quick burst after a break) you will hit 700...its a good way to look at buying speakers but doesn't mean jack on what the amp really does. Your RMS is your most important rating as far as wattage goes. This tells you that at X-volts you are going to get this much power on a constant basis. Yes, it will go up and down but for the most part that is going to be your average. In your case I believe they said 350 watts above, I really didn't look into your amp. So currently you are running 350 watts with a peak of 700.
