agreed, settings have to be relatively high for lower end alpine husturn the subwoofer level up on the headunit and reset your gains.
I had a similar problem in my buddies WRX with an alpine unit. It wasnt providing its rated RCA output voltage.

Which is why I said he needs to set his sub level to +15, the highest level on alpines. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gifFrom what I've read the sub out on Alpine HU's need to be set to their highest level because they are designed to reduce volume, not increase volume.
You should get MUCH better results.ok great that is the information that is good to know.i had my subwoofer setting to 0 while setting my gain.
and volume was 26/35
i will try this tomorrow and hopefully get better results.
x2.You have a stock alternator, a single battery, and no big three. I would hardly call your electrical satisfactory.
What vehicle is this?
Umm, your stock alt is 60A I believe.06 honda civic. and the wires for big three are coming early this week. from what i have read.. this will be enough to run the amp.but thats not the point. i was not running the amp. i wasnt playing it? so why would it give me such a low voltage?
Glad to help. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gifok guys i redid the tests today with the subwoofer setting on +15 and it was a night and day difference. i got my voltage of 56.54(1600rms) at only 40% gainthanks to the people who helped me out
