help please. kicker zx1500.1 only 1100 rms wtf?

he said 2 volts which is fine i got my amps gain at the second notch for the gain setting which is 1600rms used a dmm and test tone, and i am using a LOC only has like 1.5pre am voltage prob its pretty low

im pretty sure the amp is fine. i have bumped with it every day for probably about a year.

the headunit is an alpine 9883. its not the greatest but its not shitty.

the rcas are not very good rcas.. hmm could that be the problem?

i mean i have a good ground, and 14 volts at idle. i mean the batt is where the amp gets its power from so i am confused as to why its not putting out its rated power. im feeding it sufficient power and have a good ground. i thought that would be enough. other than the other basics like rcas, remote, and speaker terminals

Too many variables to diagnose this problem. Start by checking the output voltage on the HU. You need right around 2volt output at the volume your setting the gains at. Most amps will work with as little as 1 volt input to do rated power. IIRC that amp is rated at 14.4 volts so you need to be near this to get its rated power.
