Help picking out new componets + coaxials

Well I am looking at upgrading my whole mid/high stage and passing my old stuff to my girl for her car. What I have now is mb quart fka 116 coaxials for the rear and fsa 216 comps up front, running off a dsc450.

Want something thats going to be louder, cleaner, more midbass ( which these speakers lack alot ) i like my tweets to be bright, pretty much just a better speaker lol.

Going to need a amp suggestion also to push em.

Budget 400 give or take but would like to be right around 400.

A better amp will do wonders. Your budget is a bit low for your expectations. I think $400 for front/rear speakers is realistic, but you'll have that much in a nicer amp.

Your system is weak in both speakers and amp. Just getting new speakers won't get you more volume unless they are alot more efficient. Even still, the amp is the source of distortion.

I would upgrade the amp first, and beef up the speaker installation with sound deadening. That way any new speakers will have an opportunity to sound good. Midbass is dependent on the installation - did you seal up your door and seal the speaker to the door panel?
