help picking out a sub

I just bought a 3 series BMW and I was wondering what sub/amp package to buy. I want to leave some space in the trunk so one hard hitting subwoffer would be the best. Any suggestions?

I was thinking of getting a 12" w7 and a 1000 watt amp.

EDIT: I don't want any award winning performance, I just want something that can bump hard, you know, a nice system. Any comments at all would be appreciated

EDIT: EDIT: Ok maybe the w7 isn't such a good idea. I've heard lots of hype, but I don't want to get caught up in it. So I think I might either get 2 blueprints 1203(if I can find some) or 2 kicker L7's attached to any clean amp.

I used to live by JL audio but have since switched to kicker. The 12L7 is a very loud very tight hitting sub. I wouldn't buy anything else. P.S. The sguare design gives you a lot more surface area of the speaker.

If you can afford the w7, there's no reason that you shouldn't get it.

L7's aren't even remotely close to being in the same league........

I wouldn't say that they arent in the same league. As far as SPL the L7 is just a little behind the W7. SQ, well yeah that's a different story.

You might want to look into the Image Dynamics IDMAX 12", one of my favorite subs. Gets loud and sounds good. It's up there with the W7 in both spl and sq and you can get them for much cheaper. I'd look at like a kicker kx1200.1 or rockford 1501bd amp for that sub.

hey man dont waste money on a W7.....and L7's sound kinda muddy to me. What model do u have? u can check out my gallery to see my setup in my 318. When i know what model u have then i can sugggest u something that will give u a good bump without the troubles i had to go through.

I think in a car like a BMW u should have a classy system , so get some alpine, some MB Quart, or Image dymanic some thing like that.
