help picking amp!

i used to come on here often a couple of years back i was rsflores then but had to reregister. anyways i have a alpine9855 w/ boston nx87s front and back in a mustang conv. this head unit will control some alpine amps but for those of you have been running amps for awhile how often do you actually change the settings on your amps? what do yall think of phoenix gold amps? they have a 5 channel i like.

as for changing the settings on my amps, i actually do it often. but i only mess with the gain. everything else stays pretty much the same. i don't use any crossovers in the amps because thats what my HU is for.
