will JL 1000/1 be a good match for (2) 10W7's?

Hey all, i put in my 1000/1 last night, replacing the 500/1 i had running my current setup, which is (2) 12W3's. I also ordered my (2) 10W7's, got them from a authorized dealer for $925. Not too bad a price right? Anyhow, will my JL 1000/1 be enough to give the two w7's what they need? I'll be building the new box in the next coming weeks as well. I recruted a friend from the local car audio shop to build it in trade for my (2) 12W3's. Here are a couple of pictures of what the box and subs will look like. These pics are from a guy on my silveradoss forum, who has the exact same truck as me. Let me know what you think.

cool, thanks for the reply man. what do you think of the box i'll be using? are there issues with rigidity of the fibre glass? i know lots of people use it so it must be ok.
Should be fine so long as it's not a piss-poor fiberglass job.

wire them in series/parallel to get a final 3ohm load... you wire your subs coils in series to get a 6ohms load from each sub and then you wire them in parallel to get 3ohm final load to the amp.

sorry, one more question. since these are 3ohm dvc subs, how do i wire them to the amp? i diagram would be sweet if anyone has one, thanks.
We’ll start by clarifying that the 8W7, 10W7 and 12W7 have single 3 ohm voice coils. The 13W7 has dual 1.5 ohm voice coils.

Here is the offical wiring diagram:

That 1000/1 will put out more than 1000 watts. Its rated at 1000w on a 11-14v system and at any ohm. If you beef up your electric you could power those really well. Is that box sealed, whats it going in? Later E

thanks for the replies everyone...

Cbass, not sure about a speaker grille, i really like the way you can see the subs. i don't usually carry passengers in the back, but when i do, i'll be sure to warn them several times throughout the trip //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

estyles1985, yes you are correct, they are 3ohm SVC subs. My bad.

I would like to think i have a fairly good electrical system in the truck. I have a 200amp alternator, big 3, and 4gauge power and ground wires.

This will be going in a 03 silverado ss.
