help on new system

i am trying to install my new system and i know how to do everything except the stuff that goes to the head unit, i have a 06 dodge ram 1500 and i have taken apart every panel around the dash but i still cant figure out how to get the dash out (dodge makes it to where the dash is huge and goes from the window down the below the radio) does anyone have any tips? i tried to just take out the head unit but i cant figure that out either someone please help me
