So awhile back I asked on here about how are batteries rated....and couple of people told me the general rule of thumb is 100ah = 1,000 watts...... but take kinetik for instance.....like the 2400 has a AH rating of 128 but it is known for a 2400 watt system....could someone please explain this for me ? Thx

This would also depend on the charging system. If you have a really weak charging system the "support" that the battery has for the task at hand will be cut short. Your battery/batteries should be able to stay at 90% SOC or above. If your battery fully charged rests at 12.8 volts and after a few days use it is resting at 12.5 volts your charging system is not keeping up. Leave any type of lead acid battery in a lowered state of charge you are asking for a very short lifespan. Keep the battery fully charged with a good charger on top of having a good alternator you will get even more lifespan from your battery.
