Help: On Axis Off Axis Tweeters

I am currently running my tweeters active and have them mounted on angle pods/stands sitting on the dash.

Tweeters: MD100

Amp: Arc Audio 4050 XXK

Alright now I will like to experiment with the angle and have done some reading up.

Now the idea is to have them on axis and off axis. but how do i actually do it?

When it is on axis, where should i be pointing them at?

When they are off axis, does it mean that I am focusing on a point other than the listner(eg. rear view mirror)?
