OK yall. I'm trying to figure out what would do my MT 18" (that I bought off Tuan for an awesome price) good for daily and also the occasionaly comp. I will have around 1800-2k on tap. It is going in a 96' Jeep Grand Cherokee. I know my car's resonant freq now is 45hz. but I know this will change once the wall is in. I was thinking 8 cubes tuned to 36hz with about 175 sq inches of port and a ton of bracing. Let me know what yall think. thanks //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Just do what Im doing, but at half scale...

//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/yumyum.gif.0556df42231b304b9c995aefd13928a8.gif A total of 20.7 cuft and 462sq.in. of port area //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/yumyum.gif.0556df42231b304b9c995aefd13928a8.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eek.gif.771b7a90cf45cabdc554ff1121c21c4a.gif 37" wide x 30" tall x 48.5" deep //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eek.gif.771b7a90cf45cabdc554ff1121c21c4a.gif

It's built as a huge box to start off, but to make it a wall I plan to create a thick frame that will fill in the gaps between the box and the interior walls of the vehicle which will wall it off from the rear of the vehicle. The wall will then be braced to the box making it one solid piece.

hell yeah man, welcome to the MT fan club... does this mean you're not gonna be at the show this weekend?
I wont be there this weekend the next time i will be coming is the douglasville show on 7/1. Now I just gotta start the wall. If your not busy one or two days wanna meet up and help with the build? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Ya i was looking at your thread and wondering if I should take this route.

i have no opinion on wall or no wall. but design wise, i would move the braces that are on top and bottom of the sub to the center, by the other 2 braces.

personally, i would rather have a series 6th order...

anybody else have any input? like tuning and what not... thanks yall
well mine is 7'ish after all displacement tuned around 33'ish and you know how it sounds... cherokees and rangers are a little different though, not to mention you're building a wall...

but yeah, i can come by and help out... i work mon-fri so let me know about a saturday or sunday comin up when you wanna start...

i could use a hand with my dual MT 15 build too //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/naughty.gif.94359f346c0f1259df8038d60b41863e.gif
