If you've got any welding skills, just weld a normal exhaust resonator where the cat used to be, visual inpection... check!
Then find someone with a vagcom and adapt and clear the o2 sensor code when the car's running full temp. This'll clear the code for a good hour or so.
Most states don't even do measured tests on obd2 cars, so this will pass you, atleast.
