Help! Old deck, new install = no sound

The speakers may be giving the Alpine to low of an ohm load which can shut down the decks internal amp...the blue with white stripe wire would be something to look at as mentioned above...even though its not a fancy system Ford sometimes threw in external amps...if you have your factory deck you can sometimes tell by a red line across the power button

I know on my first HU, being a cheap sony, I had factory bose speakers that had amps on them. I bypassed the amps but the radio saw a 2ohm load and it caused the front channels to shut down. Also I cant believe nobody has asked this, WTF Model of alpine is it?

I'll go get the model, I forget off the top of my head. I'll test the ohm load on the speakers also. Correct me if I'm wrong thats terminal to terminal to test that. I'll come back with my answers... I also think there may be a stock amp hidden in my rear quarter panel... so I'll rip that apart too if I have time

Well, thank you everyone for your help. I said to hell with it this afternoon and just rewired it all, directly from the deck. That was a pain in the butt. There was this friggin plug thing in the drivers door that I had to bypass by making my own hole in the door and cutting into the boot....not pretty. But I wasn't going for looks, just functionality anyways //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif. Plus I kinda pre-wired for an amp, there's about 2-3 feet of extra wire underneath my center console for each speaker so I can place an amp in my console in the future when I get the energy to wire that up.

I was impatient... I didn't know what colors to tap. Plus, now I have 12ga speaker wire running to all speakers... So if I decide to do an amp upgrade I won't ever run into an issue with small cra*ppy wire //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
