I don't see why you couldn't bridge the rear channels for a sub...

Most say yes. Few say no.

Exactly as said. Run the fronts off the front two channels, and the rear bridged to the sub.

I'd probably go with a 10" if possible, but a 8" would work too. I'd probably do sealed for rock. You aren't going to need the heavy low end bass, and it'll have a good frequency extension regardless, and it'll be a bit cleaner.
