I find myself listening to my system at lower and lower volumes. Im at the point that im not sure what i want. I listen to more rock music now.

Thought of selling my amp(subs blown anyway) and getting a smaller one with some nice components? or either getting a new sub.any ideas on what i should do in a single cab silverado.

welcome to the club paw paw. you'll always have an itch to get something really loud, my best recommendation to you is get a good 12" sub in a ported box with around 1k and some really nice comps. this way if you want to crank it up it'll get loud but it'll also sound really good at low volumes. btw atleast your not to my point, i find myself listening to CNN on my XM all the time.

see i really don't need a big sub and amp. i got a kid that rides with me alot so it wont be that loud. i kinda am feeling some nice components that get decently loud and have some midbass for rock.

Do a pair of high end components and a nice 10" sub on 300-ish watts. It'll sound good at low volumes, and still have a little kick if you decide to crank it.

EDIT: Maybe some Polk SR comps and a MM1040...

EDIT AGAIN: A set of high end comps and a couple of those Tang Band 6.5" subs might not be a bad idea either.

That sounds pretty cool misfit. only thing is building a truck box to house 6.5s lol.

I would need a nice set of 6.5 comps and then i have 4x6 rears so need a set i could run on a amp. and a small amp for the 2.

You could do 4 of the Tang Band 6.5"s, man. Here's a youtube vid:

I've never had the chance to play around with those little drivers, but I hear good things about them...
