Help! No sound!

I just got done wiring up a new amp and sub in my car, and I am having two problems, both significant.

1) A few minutes after I turn the car on and the amp has power, the power starts flickering on and off. The head unit and amp power flicker on and off, as well as my car antenna.

2) When the amp is on initially, and has power, there is no sound being put out. I have double checked the wiring and I think maybe my Headunit is not puting out a signal to the RCA outputs.

What do you guys think? What can I try?

Hook an MP3 or CD player directly up to the amp and see if there is any sound. If there is the HU/RCA's are not working. If there isn't the amp is bad or a bad connection.

Check your grounds also.
