Help New To Me Amp

Ok, so I just got a new to me RF amp 1000 old school.

I have 2 dvc subs, wired to 2 ohm final load. This amp works best at 2ohms.

But the Protection mode light is on! I plugged it in correctly with battery unhooked and all.. I have not changed the ohm load not sure what the problem is.

Update,

I re checked my ohm load.. At at the terminals with amp off and its a solid 2 ohms!

Ground is good!

It sounds great! Amps playing perfectly..

So I'm thinking maybe its just the shadow from the top light?

Because when I turn it on, it goes bright red a few seconds and then it dims but still stays a bit red..

If it was in protect mode, would it not play?
