1) the gain knob isnt a volume knob. Learn how to use it

2)use the search feature, you will look less like a n00b. "gain setting tutorial"

3)if you dont know what filter knobs are, you need a new hobby //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

do some searching.

maybe i guess i should have said my headunit is a kenwood excelon x493

so amp gain to 4v. i just thought it would need to go higher since my subs can handle what my amp pushes.

and ot answer the question my amp isnt bridged. well its bridged internally in paralell. i wired my subs in series-paralell to 4ohm load each and ran to its own seperate input on the amp.

i know it sounds weird but thats how the xenon amps are.

and theres no reason for you guys to be this negative. I came on here knowing I needed to use a dmm and a 50hz sine wave to test my rms output. I just need help understanding what voltage Ill need.
