Ok guys, my cousin and his dad are building a sealed box (ported is not an option) that will be roughly 2 cubes before displacement. Due to space issues, thats the max he can do right now. Its going to be for a single 12 off about 800wrms. His budget is maxed at $150 for a sub and he wants rediculous lows, at least the best he can get in a sealed application with 2 cubes. He is not concerned with spl too much as he said 800rms should be able to satisfy him. I mentioned a couple subs too him like the premier 3004's and the type R that would fit his budget but ive never heard them in sealed enclosures and never heard anyone on these boards talk about how they do in a sealed enclosure. Plz give some other suggestions, he is open to anything. Thanks...

u read first sentence? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif He does not want ported.

That box is really big for Alpines or Pioneers...You could almost fit two in that size box...I'd recommend a Kicker...They work best in larger sealed enclousures...Probally a VR would be your best bet...//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

really? I hear most people put those subs in 2-2.5 cubes ported, so i didnt think 2 cubes sealed would be all that big for them. He wants to make the box as big as he can to shine on the lows.

umm, why doesn't he do the logical thing, and go with one 12inch, and tune it to like 25Hz... he has the room :s
I dont know why he doesnt want ported. He just specifically asked for what would work best in 2 cubes sealed.

arrggg i will ask him why he doesnt want ported but why cant i just get a couple suggestions for sealed. IS there not anything in his budget that can handle it or what?
