ok so i need help. here is the problem my sub isnt hitting anymore. the past week my sub has been cutting out so i have to turn off and back on my hu. then friday it stoped working totally. so i dont know if my fuse at the amp is blown or my amp is blown or even the sub. which is a 10" L7 that was refurbished but that just means it has all new internals. i have 600rms going to it which it wants. so when i look at my amp the green power light turns on. and it is not in portect mode. i thought it was just cuz it was hot the past week and the amp has no fan in it. so what do u guys think it could be? and sometimes it was cutting out when i would turn my cd player up to 30 and it goes to 33 max. please help me. i havent had time to take my back seat out to pull my enclosure out. kuz the way i have the amp mounted i cant get a good grip on the fuse to check it.

first, you need to isolate which is out, HU, amp, or woofer...pull the woofer and try it in another setup...if it works, swap the amp out, etc...

It could be a fuse the sub the HU the amp.....We can't guess!!!

did you isolate the problem?

Help you out? Get your lazy butt into the car and pull the darn amp out and check to see if it is on or the amps fuse is intact. Is a ground wire on the amp come undone? Is the sub still connected to the amp? My crystal ball shows...... you sitting infront of the computer typing useless info when you should be out pulling the system apart.

ok so i just pulled my car apart my amp still works so i pulled my sub out and tested it on my lil brothers amp and it didnt work so upon coming inside to look at it i noticed that one of the wires coming from the hook up to the spider was broken off(i think its called the tinsel?) so should i try t fix it or have it fixed? what would u guys do?

Take it where you bought and ask for warranty, if they won't warranty it, then you can try to solder it back together.
